Housing association homes

Housing associations are not-for-profit organisations that rent housing to people who:

  • are on low incomes
  • have specific needs, such as older people and people with disabilities
  • have been homeless

How to apply for a housing association home

You can apply directly to a housing association or through your local council.

Once you apply, you will be placed on a waiting list. The waiting time depends on the size of the property you need and where you want to live.

Contact your local council for information on how they work with housing associations.
