Welcome...

To the August 2019 issue of Essex County Council's Provider Newsletter.

Care Worker Survey

Enventure Research Ltd has been commissioned to conduct the Care Worker Workforce Survey (due to be distributed in September), and the Provider Relationship Survey (October). If you are happy for Enventure to contact you directly please complete this short consent form.

We would be very grateful for your cooperation in responding to these surveys. The results to both surveys will be presented to providers via forums and to senior ECC officers and so it is extremely important to us that we hear from as many of you as possible.

Care Provider Hub Survey

We would like to know what you like and dislike about our Care Provider Information Hub and so we have set up this survey to capture your views and suggestions. Completing the questions should only take about 5 minutes and you can access the survey here.

Thank you.

Introducing E-Procurement to streamline our Domiciliary Care Processes

ECC is launching a new project to review the benefits for both ECC and Providers in automating the placement process via the use of an e-procurement system.  Our vision is, supported by technology, to ensure we are able to place individuals promptly with a provider who can best meet their needs and thereby improving the current sourcing pathway for our Service Placement Team (SPT) and homecare care providers.  We aim to save time within the process for both ECC and Providers, by placing new care packages and processing increases/ decreases in care via the e-procurement system.  In doing so we expect to improve the customer journey and gain management information that will help inform future decisions when designing our contracts to better support providers and customers.

The project team are currently scoping and shaping the feasibility of systems and pathways to work alongside ECA, our care market and SPT to build requirements for our future system.  We intend to host a provider workshop in late September or early October, information on dates and venues will be available via the provider Hub.

Want to know more or get involved?  Please contact Sarah Collins sarah.collins4@essex.gov.uk
