Workforce Data ASC-WDS (previously NMDS-SC)

All CQC registered providers are asked to submit workforce data to Skills for Care. This data provides the most accurate dataset for the care provider workforce and is essential data for ECC to plan future strategies and contracts. It is also a requirement in order to be eligible to receive Workforce Development Fund support. ASC-WDS account holders will be able to access dashboard reports of the data they upload and so this is a useful tool for your own workforce planning.

ECC's Care Worker Survey

In September 2019 ECC conducted its first large scale survey of care workers in Essex, to further understand issues relating to recruitment and retention in adult social care in the county.

The results of the 2019 survey will give us insight into why people join care and what makes them leave. This valuable intelligence will be used by ECC to review what actions it can take to help providers recruit and retain the right staff.

You will have an opportunity to listen to and discuss the results at Local System Workshops (previously known as Provider Forums) in the coming months.
